May 13, 2013, is marked as a very important day for every Filipino who is concerned for the political, social and economic condition of his country. I wonder if every Filipino had this concern in mind when they went out and voted for the candidates they have elected. "Why...Oh, Why's" flooded the hallway of pure distinction between the qualified, semi-qualified and the not qualified at all winners in the recent May 13, 2013 election. The result in general was a surprise if not shocking to most in the upper strata of intellectual minds. Grace Poe as No.1...most of us have no question about that. She has that inner dignity, sharp mind and the grace and charm she has inherited from her equally famous and adored Supertars in the Philippine movies. Her father, Da King Fernado Poe, who was badly cheated in the 2004 Presidential Election, which
then caused his untimely death, and her mother the Movie Queen, Susan Roces, who until now is still well-loved by the Filipino people. Among the favorites, Chiz Escudero didn't make it to the top...for his detractors, well they could offer a ton of thanks, but no thank you, cause he's still in there. Loren Legarda, of course, deserves more than a second place, but for now has to give that to Grace Poe. How about Cynthia Villar? Why is she at No. 10 slot? I thought she could have been among the top 5...Could it be because of that misunderstanding she had with our own nurses here in the Philippines? Well, that is already water under the bridge, I'm happy she makes it with the winning 12 senators...As for the other winners...well, I extend my
congratulations to the 9 winning picks of President Noynoy Aquino...Ohhh, wait, I can't seem to settle back and end this blog without commenting on that savvy article I've read just an hour ago...I don't want to sound
judgmental either to the point of accepting the cockade of sarcasm. I would just like to share a link which I find amusing.http://sowhatsnews.wordpress.com/2013/05/14/philippines-named-most-stupid-country-to-elect-a-20-year-ojt-as-a-senator-by-time-magazine/ ...Now, you know whom I'm referring to. I just can't understand why there are people who can smile at the thought of winning when inside their innermost thoughts, there is that tint of doubt as to the credibility of their credentials and qualifications.Yeah, a lot of them out there who have thought of having won. In reality, indeed a sad reality, they have just won in giving the Filipino people false hopes...hope of getting jobs with decent pay, hope of being able to send their children to school, hope of living a life free of violence and other crime related incidents, and the 'hope' list continues. Anyway, I understand one thing- for people whose stomachs are aching in hunger in almost 24 hours in a day, they usually don't give a damn to who sit there in the Senate or in Congress. They just want
leaders who would be able to empathize with their situation. On the other end, I hate to say this, I see these
corrupt, greedy and unscrupulous leaders, busy filing stolen wealth for themselves, for their families..Yeah, they are also busy building political dynasties to preserve their powers and political clout for until when?
